Around 250 experts from Germany and the world, renowned keynote speakers and inspiring discussions - that was the 7th International Cluster Symposium 2020
On April 17th and 18th, 2020, around 250 scientists from clinical and basic research came to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Hamburg for the international symposium of the cluster of excellence PMI. Under the title "Inflammation Medicine - from Bed to Bedside" they discussed the latest developments in precision medicine for chronic inflammatory diseases in an interdisciplinary manner in plenary sessions and workshops. The programme included the latest findings on the role of genetics, nutrition and the microbiome in chronic inflammation, state-of-the-art imaging techniques, potent biomarkers and the search for new ones. On Tuesday evening, a clinical symposium for physicians - sponsored by abbvie and Sanofi - was also held to present existing and new therapeutic options in individualized medicine.
