“Organoid” - collaboration with the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design

The Cluster of Excellence PMI utilizes new perspectives to bring its medical research closer to the public. For this purpose, it has launched a collaborative project with the film class at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design, resulting in a series of artistic films that take a look at the work of the PMI Cluster of Excellence in a variety of ways and visualize the resulting research.

Art exhibitions on the subject of inflammation

The art cooperation is based on many years of collaboration. The predecessor cluster “Inflammation at Interfaces” already broke new ground by cooperating with the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel to make science accessible to the public on a different level. Artists from the Muthesius University translated the cluster's work into the visual language of art in two exhibitions and, in doing so, provided tangible access to complex research results.
