Silvio Waschina is a bioinformatician and university lecturer at Kiel University. Since 2019, he has held the professorship for Nutriinformatics at the Institute of Human Nutrition and Food Science at the Faculty of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences.
The Nutriinformatics research group uses mathematical-informatic methods to gain a more precise understanding of the influence of the interactions between nutrition and microorganisms on human metabolism.
