Baltic Summer School 2026: MOSAIC-ID now open for applications!
The Summer School Multi-Omics Sex-Aware Integration in Clinical and Molecular Research on Inflammatory Diseases is a four-day intensive workshop designed for early-career researchers. It focuses on sex-specific analyses of clinical genomic research data, thereby contributing to closing the gender data gap in biomedical research. Combining expert lectures with hands-on computational training, the programme guides participants from the clinical motivation and principles of sex-aware study design to the practical application and interpretation of sex-sensitive analyses of transcriptomic and epigenomic data.

Audience and Pre-requisites
This workshop is tailor-made for up to 20 early-career scientists, especially doctoral and early postdoctoral researchers. However, there are some pre-requisites to attend the workshop:
- Participants must have an introductory background in biology and/or statistics.
- Participants must be familiar with R.
- Participants are required to have a personal laptop/computer. The details on software/packages required will be sent to the selected participants.
- At the workshop, participants will be required to prepare 2-minute Elevator pitches to introduce themselves (and their research) to the group with a maximum of 2 slides. The slides can also be replaced with illustrations on a sketch board.

Travel and Accommodation
Participation is free of charge. Accommodation and meals during the programme will be provided. If applicable, travel expenses will also be reimbursed through a limited number of travel grants.

To apply, please complete the registration form linked below. Participants will be selcted for the Summer School based on the submitted abstracts. Successful applicants will be notified after the review process. Registrations are accepted only until 15th September 2026.
